Your Scalp Has a Story. We Map It.
Every Scalp Reset at Lavie Bella works from the same 8 condition areas — and you leave with something no other head spa in Southern California hands you: a written Verdict Report of what we found, what it means for your hair, and exactly what to do next.
Why a map, not a glance
Most hair frustrations get treated one symptom at a time: a shampoo for the flakes, a dry shampoo for the oil, a serum for the dullness. Meanwhile the actual cause sits at the scalp — unexamined.
Here's the thing about scalps: they're rarely one thing. The crown can be congested while the hairline runs dry. Oil at the part line can be hiding sensitivity underneath. That's why we don't take a quick look and guess — we map. Your therapist works across your whole scalp — crown, hairline, temples, mid-scalp, nape, and the zones between — and scores what she finds against 8 distinct condition areas.
Yes, we use a professional scalp camera at 50x–200x magnification. So does nearly every modern head spa in LA. What makes your read different here is the system around it: an intake questionnaire before the camera ever turns on, the 8-area scope instead of a few snapshots, a written verdict at the end of the session, and a care plan for everything between visits. The camera shows us what's there. The system is what turns it into progress.
The 8 Areas on Your Scalp Map
Dandruff & Flaking
Persistent flakes that shrug off drugstore shampoo usually have a cause nobody’s addressed.

Tight, itchy, powdery — and often made worse by the products bought to fix it.
Read more →Oily Scalp
Greasy by dinner no matter how often you wash? The washing might be the fuel.
Read more →Scalp Buildup
The invisible film of product residue and SoCal hard-water minerals that’s undoing your entire routine.
Read more →Thinning & Density
A wider part or a thinner ponytail deserves straight answers, not miracle promises.

Heat, color, and chemistry leave fingerprints we can see at 200x — and a path forward.

Burning, stinging, reactive? Something specific is setting your scalp off. We help you find it.

The condition almost everyone has and nobody checks: a scalp held tight enough to squeeze its own circulation.

You talk, we listen.
Your intake covers history, routine, products, stress, and the small things you’ve never said out loud about your hair. Context first — the same finding can mean different things on different scalps.
We scope the terrain.
Not a spot-check. Your therapist works across the scalp at up to 200x, area by area.
Your scores come together.
The areas your therapist reads get a score — clear, mild, moderate, or needs-attention — building a picture of your scalp that day.
Your treatment matches your map.
The products and techniques in your session are chosen off your scores, not a script.
You leave holding the Verdict Report.
In writing: what we saw, what it means for your hair, your care plan, and your recommended follow-up rhythm.
Relaxation fades by Tuesday. Paper doesn't.
Your Verdict Report is a written, honest snapshot of where your scalp stands — not a sales pitch, and never a medical diagnosis. It covers what each area showed, how that connects to what you've been seeing in the mirror, your at-home plan, and when we recommend you come back. Guests on a package program compare verdicts over time and watch the trend line move — that's the difference between feeling like your scalp is better and knowing it is.
Honest by design
Three commitments, on the record:
We observe; we don’t diagnose.
If your scan shows something that needs a dermatologist, your verdict says so plainly — and we’ll support your scalp alongside whatever they recommend.
We connect scalp to hair.
Every finding is explained in terms of what it means for shine, volume, softness, and strength — the outcomes you actually care about.
We tell you when you don’t need us.
Some conditions resolve. When yours does, your verdict will say that too.

Already a Scalp Reset guest?
Most maps change over a series, not a single visit. Scalp Revival packages bundle 4, 6, or 8 sessions at a discounted rate — or keep it simple with a single Scalp Renewal ($135) or the Scalp Health Club ($99/month).
Guests visit our Artesia studio from Cerritos, Lakewood, Long Beach, Norwalk, Buena Park, and across the LA/OC border for the 8-area analysis.
Common Questions About the 8-Area Analysis
What are the 8 areas you analyze?
Dandruff & flaking, dry scalp, oily scalp, scalp buildup, thinning & density, hair damage, sensitive scalp, and scalp tension & stress. Your therapist scores the ones your intake and your scalp call for — scalps are rarely dealing with just one thing, and the combination is what shapes your care plan.
Is this a medical exam?
No. The analysis is observational — we document what your scalp shows us and translate it into a care plan. We don’t diagnose conditions or prescribe anything, and when something deserves a dermatologist’s attention, we say so directly in your verdict.
Do I pick which condition to focus on?
You don’t have to — the mapping does that work. Many guests come in certain they have one issue and learn the real driver is something else (dry scalp treated as dandruff is the classic). Your intake tells us what you’re experiencing; the 8-area scan shows what’s behind it.
What if my scalp is fine?
Then your verdict says so — in writing, which is rarer than you’d think. You’ll still leave with a great treatment, a baseline map for the future, and zero pressure toward a program you don’t need.
How is this different from the free scalp analysis?
The free analysis is a quick camera look — a preview. The Scalp Reset is the full protocol: intake, condition scoring, a condition-matched treatment, and the written Verdict Report with your care plan.
How often should my map be updated?
Your verdict includes a recommended rhythm — typically every 2–4 weeks during an active program, then monthly for maintenance. Package guests get a progress scan built into their final session.
